About the Home
In 1928, Harry M. Ramsay was commissioned to design a home for the daughter of a prominent local resident. Walter Schuster was to present this home to his daughter Eleanor as a wedding gift. Well known Boston Architect Harry Ramsay was given the task to create a wonderful estate for Eleanor and her husband. It was the dawn of the Great Depression, yet no expense was spared.
Majestic and Elegant. Secured on steel beams and finished with the finest slate and copper. Renowned Ernest Batchelder tile graces the Vestibule floor. A.H. Heisey Crystal Glass Doorknobs. A fine Emerson & Sack German Silver Sink completes the Butler's Pantry.
